Badminton, being the hottest sport now has undoubtedly become the sport of all lifestyles. Fibrella, a known brand for its high quality of umbrellas continues its commitment to assist the sport and one better way to encourage and support the growth of the sport is through tournaments, with this, Fibrella cup had its take two last August 8, 9 and 15, 2009.
To the Badminton enthusiasts here in the Philippines, it’s a challenge for their personal quest to make a mark and conquer major tournament such as this, that’s why, FLICK CONCEPT, the organizing team of Fibrella cup ’09 made sure that it’s going to attain its fullest potential. Out to help Fibrella manage the tournament were the officials and committees, headed by Mr. Raffy Yumang and the Leveling staffs, was headed by Coach Severino “Bening” Capiral. The organizers are composed of six ladies namely Lucy Ng, Jennifer Uy, Sally Pineda, Stephanie Ngo, Jean Pastrana and Carol Delegencia who are enthusiasts of the sport as well.
The team was able to gather more than 1,000 participants in the 3-day event held in Clubsixfifty, Libis, Quezon City. Majority are from National Capital Region and players from different provinces like Bicol, Baguio, Tuguegarao, Cabanatuan, Pampanga, Batangas, Bataan, Laguna and Cavite. |
“A tournament that’s worth my time, money and effort” says Ms. Emme Mendoza, participant in the women’s doubles category. Indeed, FLICK CONCEPT aimed that participants will experience satisfaction to the over-all tournament concept.
The Fibrella 3-day presentation was held not only to advertise and promote Fibrella umbrella but to make sure that all sponsors who supported the event and helped the team make it possible shall be well acknowledged. The drum beats of Jhocson and the tribal inspired dance from Stylistic Verve have shifted attention of the participants during breaks.
