MESUCA CUP 2006 rounded-off its tournament last Nov.12, 2006 at the Olympic Badminton Club with heated games among deafening cheers. With more than 800 participants, MESUCA CUP opened the tournament with players in the Men’s and Women’s Doubles pitting valiantly against each other. Games were smoothly and deftly scheduled with very little down-time for eager participants. Thanks to Tournament Director Marga Tan, Asst Tournament Director Lyn Diaz and Match Control Head AJ Cruz.

The second day of the Tournament saw the much anticipated battles in Levels A & B in the Men’s Doubles, Ladies Doubles and Mixed Doubles, featuring Philippine badminton “personalities” such as Ronald and Rocky Magnaye, Martin Araneta, Brandon Chan, John Campos, Naresh Ramnani, and international champion Lili Wang. Games were played at 21-match point, giving players just enough time to get into the rhythm of their game.

The Awarding Ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Conrado Co, the godfather of Philippine Badminton. Both champions and runner-ups for each level and category received MESUCA Elite-60 kits, which includes MESUCA Limited Edition Racquets, Bags, Shuttlecocks, Sports Socks, Flip Flops, and MESUCA Elite-60 Shirts.
