Ever heard of a tournament that was organized with very minimal preparation? Would word of mouth gather enough players in one week’s time? Cash prizes! What? Is it possible? Questions…questions…questions! From a whispered suggestion on July 14, 2006 to hold a fun game, it only took interest, cooperation and love for the game to make it happen on July 21, 2006 at their home court. The Battledore staff commonly referred to them as the MWF group. But after more than one year of regularly playing every morning at 9:00AM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Battledore Badminton Hall on Sctr. Ojeda, Quezon City, these regular players from six to eight ladies and gents steadily grew in number. Later on, they started searching for a name for the group until they decided to be called just what they have been known since the very beginning. Morning With Friends .
