MERRY X’SMASH! The 1st Inter-Palo Badminton Tournament was held on Dec. 18, 2005 at Smart Shot Badminton and Sports Center in Malate, Manila. Over 70 badminton aficionados vied for the top spot in at least 5 levels in the Men’s and Mixed Doubles categories. Players were divided into 4 teams for the team event.

The well-paired and matched teams had the audience/participants holding their breaths watching the fired up matches unfold. The event brought winners & Runners Up for their respective categories, enduring a single round robin system format.

Trophies were given to the winners in each category together with its respective runners up. Medals and another trophy were generously awarded to each member of the RED Team, which emerged as the Team Champion.

All participants were supplied a shirt, Palo gift bag and served lunch. The tournament was sponsored by “Bossing” Peter Estampador of the Palo Badminton Team and in partnership with Richard Ayroso of Smart Shot Badminton and Sports Center.
