"TEAM" refers to a group of people participating in a sport together; a group of people working together; to join in cooperative activity.

Team competition is considered as more exciting and more challenging than any doubles event in badminton. Here, not only one mind works (as to singles), or two minds (as to doubles). All minds work.

Strategies and techniques in fielding players for singles and doubles events are done meticulously. Studying all members of the opponent teams is what makes the competition exciting.

As to the 1st team competition sponsored by the SSS Badminton Club, the 2005 Inter-color Badminton Tournament surely gave each player a thrilling experience before, during and even after the game.

With eight (8) teams composed of class A, B, C, & D players from regular and honorary members and non-members which were drown, the tournament graced its opening last March 8, 2005 at the SSS Livelihood Trade Center.

The court was filled with loud cheers for each team and earsplitting claps for every nice shot played by the participants.

After the four-day event, the Green Team bagged the championship game last March 17, 2005. The team composed of Ericson Custodio, Rodolfo Gumba, Julio Lauron, Al Bustos, Maricel Bajet, Liza Baltazar, Yolanda Lazo at Dulce Dapito; defeated their opponents with great strategies. They did not just utilize the strength of the team but also study the weakness of their opponents.

The SSS Badminton Club believed that they have achieved their goal of resolving the problem of permanent groupings or partnership during a tournament. Thus, the club wishes to have another team event competition to further deepen the camaraderie and friendships among its members.
